Order of the Knights Dragoon
intro Andrese de Valtier is the last bastard heir to House Valtier. Though the dragoon had finally returned with the help of the 3rd regiment of the holy see, she seeks a new purpose and is slow to trust the peace with the dragons since the end of the Dragonsong War. She decided to work on rebuilding her house and claim its head chair, which Ishgard and fellow houses once recognized if she can survive the madness growing within her from years of separation from civilization and the growing draconic-blood influence.
rule i. Mature audience only. The character(s) and player are both too old for immature roleplay and have no care for it. Please be at least 18+, though preferably 21+, to interact with me. rule ii. in character does not mean out of character. My characters' actions and beliefs do not reflect my own, and the FFXIV community needs to learn this in general. rule iii. yes, she is a lady knight. No, this does not mean you can drool over her. Go touch grass for all of our sakes. rule iv. I enjoy playing by the lore of FFXIV, but I personally do not mind lore bending or filling in the blanks of the lore to fit your character(s) better, but please do not attempt to force your lore onto my characters. rule v. she is a dragoon of the order of dragoons via Ishgard/Temple Knights divisions. No, your inquisitor or commander or whatever cannot command her and expect her to follow or listen to your character mindlessly. I follow the principle that actions have consequences, but too many players have made such characters to abuse the IC rank.
rule vi. my characters are only in character when the roleplaying tag is on. (rp) Do not attempt rp with my character without the tag showing. However, you may message me to discuss their possible plot development. rule vii. I am open to many roleplay elements, including slice of life, combative, dark themes, nobility themes, dragonsong war themes, up-to-date patch of FFXIV themes, and plot developments. rule viii. I expect roleplay plotting to be open and non-secretive ploys towards my character. If such procedures are followed, I will end the rp and conversation with you and your characters. rule ix. I will not accept a random, all-knowing discussion of my character's draconic blood or what is happening to her. I know what is happening to my characters and expect that to be respected. rule x. erp: (erotic roleplay) If this is the only reason to rp with my character(s), the rp and the conversation with you will end.

biography Andrese was born and raised in the House Valtier estate thirty-two twelvemoons (Years) ago. Born to a 'lady' of the night, Andrese was almost an orphan. But luckily, her adoptive mother and the wife of the minor lord of Valtier, her father, kept the child and raised her as their own. Even under a noble's name, it was not an easy life, for the house was small, and the war efforts had nearly stripped all its resources to the brink. Andrese and her younger sister had grown into vast differences in the nobility expectancy. Andrese became a page, then squire, and eventually a Knight as her sister took up the quill, sewing, and the like to become a noble's perfect wife.
Andrese's life as a page and squire was challenging, having been a bastard of an estate and two for her differences in physicality. Having been given a small private room rather than the brackets led to her being bullied often, and it was a spark of her violent tendencies, all from self-defence against the hostile acts or slurs made to her. Frequently, she thought of resigning and going home. But with her being a bastard and not expecting to become head of the house, she remained and eventually made her vow and oath to Halone. Rising a Knight. As a Temple Knight, she immediately began the training for the Order of Dragoons Division in the Knights. Wishing to not only separate herself from those who would rather see her in the witchdrop, and it could… Possibly end her suffering if the training and assessment were truly that challenging to pass. But she was not the type to simply allow her death to come either. If it wanted her, it would have to work for it. She had many to prove wrong and could be someone her father and mother could be proud of. The Dragoons had been the only chance she believed; they didn't care for her Knighting, even though they attended as expected. But in the end, it was clear Andrese was not the favorite, and perhaps today it still stands. She will never learn the truth, however. By the will of the Fury, Andrese survived the trials of becoming a Dragoon and was picked from three others to join. Advanced training began, and she was quickly in the front of the Dragonsong. Not long afterwards, she and two others were assigned to a long-range reconnaissance mission far north of the Slate Mountains. Here is when her plans and goals change, and the truth of her parents, sister, and house disappear. For survival is all that matters. Many twelvemoons passed, and Andrese's scouting party was forgotten. Who is to say if they were sent to their deaths or if the bureaucracy lost their knowledge? Andrese's party was killed. One by the hordes they came for, and the other disappeared one night. He told Andrese he would report back in a note left in their encampment in a cave. No one knows what happened to the Dragoon, but Andrese was now alone with only her will to believe that help would come and she would continue her duty even if she never returned home… Never mind the itching darkness and twisting thoughts of imaginative people to talk to.The madness had begun, with the only food being that of the horde...

Family
andrese was closest to her sister, her sister's husband, and her sister's son. Unlike her parents, she and her sister remained close and had a bond like no other. andrese prays to learn what had happened to them while she has been lost to time for so long.

Draconic blood
Due to the need to survive and adapt to her seemingly never-ending mission of long-range reconnaissance, Andrese was left alone. Amadness of solidarity was slowly taking over her, including her transforming into a scale-kin to eat dragons to survive.

Gwyndrake
a white dragon that andrese managed to actually befriend, even given the circumstances of her belief that the dragonsong war is still ongoing. The dragon found her near starvation and, to bring her back, offered an eye and soon its forsaken brethren.
